Take a look at St Joseph’s.

Over the last few weeks, there have been some changes to our school in order to comply with advice re COVID-19. You and your child won’t need to memorise these changes – we are looking forward to seeing our pupils return, and we will be delighted to explain everything to them in school.

Pupil tables are organised in small groups/ spaced out around the room. There are hand-sanitizers inside the door of every classroom. A sink with thermostat has been fitted in every classroom. Teachers’ tables have had perspex screens fitted.

The yard has been divided into zones, marked out with paint and signs. There are lines showing students where to line up in each zone. Teachers will collect their class from the zone at their start time.

Check out these photos to give you an idea of what the school looks like now.

COVID-19 Response Plan and Policy Statement

In accordance with the ‘Return to Work Safely Protocol’ issued by the Government, all employers are required to prepare a COVID-19 Response Plan. This applies to all Boards of Management of Primary and Special Schools. The Department of Education and Science (DES) published the following plan on 27th July 2020 and it will be used as is by all schools.

Update regarding uniforms for the start of this school year

Regarding Uniforms
Parents / Guardians,
We have had some queries regarding the wearing of uniforms in September .
The current advice is as follows:
Uniforms will be worn as normal with best practice that children will change out of their uniform after school.
Please see attached article.
Thank you,
Ms. Tobin
