Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association of St. Joseph’s Primary School is made up of 2 parent representatives from each class within the school. Our full committee consists of 16 parents along with the 2 elected parents from the Board of Management, and our principal Ms. Louise Tobin.

Our main function is to fund raise and to give a helping hand during events and when the need arises.

During the course of the past few years, we have been very involved with “colour enhancement” throughout the school.

With the help of some Transition Year students from our local secondary schools, we have brightened the appearance of the back veranda with window painting.

We also held a very successful book fair to raise much needed funding to purchase new books for the library.

It is with great pleasure and a huge “thank you” to our ever supportive entire parent community that we are also able to help out with resourcing our classrooms and resource rooms with much needed teaching aids. The monies for such a venture comes entirely through fund-raising. In these harsh economic times, the parents still manage to come up trumps and ensure our two main fund-raisers, the annual Skipathon, and the cake sale, are always so well supported and as a result, our children’s education is greatly enhanced.
